About the event

An annual outdoor cinematic celebration of film at Colley Reserve from 2pm-10pm. 

We invite you to come along to our evening program starting at 7pm. Limited seating available - first in, first serve - HOWEVER, please feel free to bring your own deck chair / picnic blanket / rug / bean bag / blanky - whatever makes you comfy!

The evening will commence with an opening of acknowledgement of Country, a speech from Holdfast Council Mayor, Amanda Wilson, followed by a pilot episode premiere of 'MERCZ'. The Awards ceremony will then proceed with a viewing of the winning short films selected over 6 categories. 

Interval performance by renowned musical cabaret performer David Gauci.

From 2pm to 7pm at Colley Reserve, enjoy a family-friendly day (no ticket required) full of exciting performances and activations from the likes of:

*Our industry professional judges and audience votes have awarded 14 films over the season automatically entering them into the finals for consideration to be awarded a final winner for each 6 categories. Previews of this 14 films will be shown at GFF. A maximum of 6 films will be awarded winners with the possibility of the film winning over multiple categories. These (up to) 6 films will be shown in its entirety upon annoucement of the winning category. Separate judges for the annual event will make selections for Best Film, Cinematographer, Actor, Sound, Art Department, and Director to be announced on Saturday, 23 March 2024, Glenelg Film Festival Annual Event and Awards Ceremony.
